OT..Gaim question

Im just trying gaim rather than msn messenger which im finding increasing
harder to run on my 98 system.So far i like it ,but for the life of me i
cant figure out how to make the fonts bigger when typing/sending
messages.Ive looked in preferences and tried ticking/unticking all
permeatations under message text but still cant get the fonts to
alter.Any help appreciated

Thanks for the link Craig.Since posting my smart alec g/f found a plugin
that does the same only its already created for you (just need to put it
in the directory indicated),called Gaim Extended Prefs

the name of the messenger was Gilly messenger.. but I cant seem to find a
mirror download....
and the developers site is down
 
gaim is ok..

you might want to try trillian though

there are also some msn clones around...
like AMSN that is multiplatform

Thanks..... i tried trillian ,but it has a lot more bells and whistles
than i need.I dont really want video or audio or flashy guis...just the
text chat and file sending/recieving so im finding gaim ideal at the
moment.No crashes with anything yet.Thanks for the links though ill
bookmark them for future

Mercury? I use it here. Is probably the best MSN client out here, but is
written in Java so it is a real memory hog.
