No, It is not "NT" - the BRAND, but yes, Windows 2000, 2003, Windows
2008, etc are all NT-BASED technology Windows OSe as opposed to
95-based OSs - Windows 95, 98, Home, Millenium, etc.
Doesn't the splash screen in Win2000 actually say "Built on
NT Technology" at the bottom...? But in answer to your
question, yes - it's an NT based OS as opposed to a toy OS (95/98/ME)
Just as C++ or Assembler, or even C#, are the real thing, as opposed to
VB.Net which is a toy and which, according to Micro$oft, is suitable only
for first time or casual Windows programmers ;-)
