Malicious Software Removal Tool on Windows Update, Microsoft Update,

Note that this tool will not be distributed using
Software Update Services (SUS).

Non-Security, High-Priority Updates on MU, WU, WSUS and SUS:

For this month:

* Microsoft is planning to release four non-security,
high-priority updates on Microsoft Update (MU) and
Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).

I have vista home premium as an upgrade but i do NOT recommend anyone to
upgrade from xp- it is cheaper to buy a new computer and just since they
are selling them so much cheaper than normal because alot like you are
waiting and sales are down, and just move your data over.

I only did this because the test machine I had Vista RC1 on was too slow and
I aquired a computer with xp media center that I had bought for a client who
decided he wanted a notebook instead- go figure- and instead of him having 2
he sold me the new one and I upgraded it to Vista home Premium.

I use it to teach and use it for seminars for those who bought it and have
no clue what they got themselves into and for those who are thinking of
buying it and I tell them the good and the bad. I also use it to test to
see what software will actually work or not on ths OS.

My recommendation is if you can wait- then wait for the first Service Pak
and it is loaded on the new computer too.

If you cannot- oh well- at least you know it will keep you on your toes
trying to figure everything out in it <g>

Sounds good to me Randy. Think I`ll stick with XP for awhile yet and await
the release of SP3, which I understand, could be in excess of 300 MB. Last
article I read was that it had been released to a few privileged testers for
evaluation. The inside circle

BTW. There is an article on the Bink.nu web site re a Vista SP1 beta. So I
guess something must be in the pipeline.

Further to my last. Interesting to note the Bejing Olmpic committee have
decided to adopt XP as their OS in dealing with the 2008 Olymic Games number
crunching tasks. Reason? Its more stable and judging from the comments I read
is a wise descion. Vista will be relegated to `gaming` for the athletes in
those areas nominated for the purpose.
