ost vs. pst files

Using Windows and Outlook 2000 is there some way to
convert ost files yo pst files so I can view them
simultaneously?

To see OST files? Not natively. If you can't open the mail profile to see
the OST file 'offline', you will need www.exchangerecovery.com - you can't
do anything with an orphaned OST file. It's just a replica of an Exchange
mailbox...
