OST to PST migrate tool

That, perchance, is without investing monies?

I am trying to convert an outlook exchange account onto a new notebook
and would like to take all that old data, which, I think, is sitting in
an OST file.

I have found plenty of tools that will tempt me with what I need, but,
when I attempt to convert, they attempt to take $100 or more from me.

Perhaps I have not worked too hard to figure this out, but, no free
utility from MS? Tucows? Somewhere else?

Nope on free utilities. Export from Outlook to a pst before you remove the
exchange account from the profile. Instructions are here:
