OS keeps accessing floppy drive

Windows XP Pro keeps intermittently accessing floppy drive for no apparent
reason. What is the fix for this? Thank You !
 
Hi:

One of the probable causes could be the antivirus, that would be checking if
you have any floppy disk in the driver. See if you have selected you floppy
disk drive select in your antivirus software to be checked.
