Orlando's calendar

Hi,
I have downloaded a spreadsheet from our server and my
calendar plus right click menu feature does not work in
that WB. (My own WBs are still OK!)

Can anyone advise me as to possibilities why this happens?

Hi Alfred,
Is the workbook doing anything with the calendar on a right click.
If you can see the macro look in ThisWorkbook module
shortcut is rightclick on logo to left of menu, view code. And
look for the code with the worksheet itself by right clicking on
the worksheet tab, view code.

Hi David,
No indication that the calendar is even loaded in this WB
and does not show up as a menu item on right click. I do
not see any codes or macros either.
When I open my other .xls files the calendar works fine.
I think it's best to cut and paste the data into a new WB
that I create.
But I'm still baffled!

Hi Alfred,
You can run the following from the Intermediate window in the VBE
Alt+F11 to switch to the VBE
Alt+G to bring up the Intermediate Window (or use view menu in the VBE)

Paste the following into the Intermediate Window and hit Enter:

Application.CommandBars("Cell").Enabled = True


The following macro will do the same and a bit more, particularly useful
if you have a macro go bad.

Sub Fix_Things()
Application.DisplayAlerts = True
Application.CommandBars("Cell").Enabled = True 'rclick cell
Application.CommandBars("PLY").Enabled = True 'rclick ws tab
Application.EnableEvents = True 'should be part of Change macro
If Application.EnableEvents = False Then
MsgBox "EnableEvents was False -- resetting to True"
Application.EnableEvents = True
End If
End Sub

which also turns calculation and screen updating back on.

I could not get those to work so I added a Sheet2 to the
WB (it came with only one) pasted all the data into Sheet2
and the calendar functionality was back! But only on the
inserted sheet.
Thanks for the macro tips, I'll surely make use of them!
