organising favourites in internet explorer

all i want to do is organise my favourites into the order i want them in.
what's happening now is : i do it, close that window then when i open it
again the favourites are all organised back into alphabetical order.

how do i stop this?

how did you do it?

bear with me:
I have in my explorer view "remember each folders' view settings" checked.
I organizing my favourites by:
click on favourite menu,
click on the icon for one I want move and drag it to wherever. You got
moving, you will see a line. If you don't see a dine, you clicked on the
wrong spot. It just a drag and drop and it works for me.

you can do the same thing for nested favourites in sub folders...
