Ordering elements in a PowerPoint graph

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am preparing a graph that contains four series, and I am seeking to have
the first series (type: bars) go "behind" the other series (type: area).
Moving the data within lines of the worksheet does not seem to impact the
bars. They are always on the "top," writing over the areas.

Any suggestions would be apreciated.
Kind regards,

A bit extreme, but if you've completed the graph and don't need to edit it
anymore, you can ungroup it to it's individual elements and place them in the
order you want.

Glenna,

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll give it a try on a copy of the graph
(just in case a revision is later needed!).

Kind regards,

I often end up ungrouping charts. When I do, I first make a copy of the
chart and then right-click it and choose Format Object. On the size tab, I
specify 5%x5% and then drag this off the edge of the slide.

This solves a number of issues for me: I can get back to the data if I need
it, the original graph doesn't show on the slide, and sizing to 5% makes the
view not reorient itself the way it does if I leave the off-the-slide chart
sized to 100%.
