order number in query

when accending the query by date field,i want to have a one field that show
order number.in report by inserting (=1) in textbox and change the running
sum property of that to YES i can to have a order number,but in query i can't
to do this.

tank mr.jero,i thinck that what do you say.i used similar founctiones for
ordering:
DCount(" [DateReading] ";"table11";" [DateReading]<= # " & [DateReading] &
"#" & ' And ' & " [Section] =" & "'" & [Section] & "'")
but when i run that query,long time need to show the result.i will
grateful,if you translate your sayes to english.
