Option - No reminder when entering calendar records in the PAST

I often update my calendar to reflect things I've done during the day AFTER
I've actually completed the item. I'd like an option in Outlook that would
eliminate the annoying REMINDER that pops up when I've just finished entering
a note for a time in the past. If the time has already past, then DO NOT
display a reminder or play a sound.

I'd still like the reminder to play xx minutes BEFORE an upcoming reminder.

When you enter the old item are you removing the reminder check from
it's checkbox?

No - I'm making the entry directly on the Calendar Page and not 'opening' a
full-blown appointment window.
