Hi, I am interested in optimizing file sharing in a couple of my networks
that use XP SP2 as workgroup servers. I have found recently that during
browsing file/folders or opening/closing documents that my XP users are
complaining about delays and slow access. I checked it out for myself and
found that the initial connections take a protracted amount of time; about 30
seconds. During that time the computer is in a semi locked up state. I heard
somewhere that file sharing in XP could be optimized and am trying to find
out how to do it. Any ideas? 9X clients seem immune to the problem.
Thanks for sharing!
