Optimal cluster size for VM

Robin

Im setting up a partition specifically for virtual memory, and I was
wondering what cluster size would be the best... the partition is 2.5 times
the size of my RAM. 512Mb RAM 1286Mb Partition... Obviously a bigger cluster
size means a faster access time, but is it more efficient for the purposes
of VM?

Thanks,

Robin

You don't want to put your swap file on a different partition
on the same drive. It will hinder performance due to increased seek time.
The optimal cluster size for NTFS is 4KB.
