Opreator stupidity & missing 5536 Download.

When 5536 was available, I used the Microsoft Download Manager & saved it to
my system with the intention of burning it to a DVD later in the week.
Problem is that I neglected to note where it saved itself on my system. Now
thanks to my general stupidity, I know that I have the copy downloaded - I
just don't have the foggiest clue where it is located or what file name to
look for.

That said, can anyone with more of a clue than I have point me in the right
direction? Desktop searches have yelded nada.

Thanks guys... but it looks like I am SOL. Every sreach option I have tried
has thus far failed. Guess I'll just have to wait until RC! becomes
available for download.

But this time I';; save it to my desktop ;-}

Know how you feel. Downloaded the iso to the documents folder.
user/jonty/documents. Now where to be found. Tried the download manager
again, asked me if I wanted to overwrite the file. Search couldn't find it. I
bugged this to MS. My thoughts are that UAC stuffed it up. Turned off hidden
files and protected system files in an attempt to locate it. 2.6 GB phatomly
roaming my HDD.

Did the search and windows has found it at
c:\users\jonty\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\temporary internet
files\virtualized\c\users\jonty\documents. Shows files as 2,771,730,432
bytes. Tried to move it to c:\. Vista informs me that it can't find the
specified file. Go figure. I'm virtually stuffed.

Nope. Still no luck. It's like it's lost in the twilight zone or the Bermuda
Triangle for downloaded sofetware!

I noticed the same thing. I thought it was my index. I have lost several
spread sheets that I knew were there. After the index is rebuilt it seems a
bit better but still I dont trust the index. Any way to fix that? All I
know to do is reindex

What I wound up doing at the end of it was bypassing the Akamai route and
used Firefox to do the download and saved it to my desktop.
