Kevin

I am using a Windows 2000 Server (SP4) for file sharing.

I was pointed to Knowledge Base Article 296264 -
Configuring Opportunistic Locking in Windows. The problem
is that none of the registry keys (OplocksDisabled,
EnableOplocks...etc) are present.

Is this normal?

If not, what can I do?

Many Thanks.

Hello Kevin,

The registry keys referenced in the article do not exist by default on
Windows 2000 or Windows XP. You need to manually create the keys.
