Western Digital Caviar SE WD1200JS 120GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive -
OEM . $61.00+ 5 shipping

Has anyone got one of these drives. Not necessarily the 120GB version. I've
been looking for reviews but Google can't find any.

All hard drive manufacturers produce a dud here and there. But over the
long haul, WD has been one of the more reliable brands. You'd probably be
happy with that one. But before you buy, here are a couple of others to
consider:

Samsung and IBM/Hitachi both make great hard drives, just like WD does. You
can ignore the idiots who call the Hitachi the deathstar. As I said before,
all manufacturers produce a dud here and there and IBM/Hitachi is no worse
than any other brand. -Dave

I have 160 gig version of that model and it has been running great for
about 3 months on heavy use. I highly recommend WD and have only had a
few problems with the 30 or so drives that i have bought for my company
over the past 6 years. All others i have not had good luck with.

I prefer Samsungs myself, mainly because they are noticably quieter.

They are certainly harder to find tho, and dont rebate as aggressively.
