Can I get this group's opinion on this machine - whether the price and
components seem like a decent deal?

I'm not going to price out the components, but that box is about
twice as expensive as it should be. There is no fancy graphics
card, save the onboard (Northbridge) graphics. It won't be
a "gaming computer", until you add a $200 video card to it.

Video Ports D-Sub + DVI <--- motherboard has built-in graphics 790GX

I don't see a hard drive, floppy, CD/DVD burner, keyboard/mouse,
so you're getting little for your money as near as I can see.

The brand of the "580 Watt Power Supply" is not mentioned,
and that usually means you'll regret owning it.

I'd have to agree with all of that. Probably at least twice the price it
should be, especially with no drives or decent video -- maybe more. The CPU
is over two years old and wasn't fast even when it was new -- about half
the speed of a similarly-aged Intel i7-2600. (Yes, I know that it was a lot
cheaper but is that a good criterion if one is looking for a
future-resistant computer?) The system also has no state-of-the-art USB or
SATA. I don't normally figure in the price of mice and keyboards because I
have my own requirements that nobody seems to meet. I surely wouldn't buy it.

I should have added that today you could buy a Dell 8gB 3.4GHz i7 with 1TB
HD and DVD burner, mouse, keyboard and a $50 gift card for $750 which gives
some perspective.
