I dcpromted a new server, called server02, as DC on
network. And then I successfully transferred 5 FSMO roles
and Global Catalog from server01 to server02. I am going
to take server01 off the network. But next day when I
checked Operations Master window on server02 and found
that Operation Master changed from "server02.mydomain.com"
to "ERROR" on all tabs of RID, PDC and Infrastructure.
Does anybody know why? Thanks.

Use ntdsutil to view the fsmo roles, also try netdom query fsmo.
