At the moment we've got one forest, one domain and one site and two AD
servers, both running GC.

We're soon opening another site connected to the first with a 2Mb link.

I intend to put another AD server in the remote site, same forest, same
domain but different site.

Can I still run all AD servers as GC servers or do I need to separate GC and
Infrastructure Master roles with two sites?

Thanks

Peter

You can run new server putt him in that site and make it GC.Point machine in
that site through DNS to that server.I don't think that you have to transfer
role let roles stays on server where they are now.

Make the remote site DC a GC. It will assist with login at the remote
site. Here's more info.
