Operation failed

Hi

I was just trying to find out what kind of personal folders file I had in
Outlook 2003 but when I right-clicked on personal folder, selected properties
then the advanced tab I got this error message:

Operation failed. An object could not be found'

Can anyone tell me what this means and what I have to do to correct it?

Hi

I wish I could tell you. Since I posted this question I tried to create new
personal folders files and delete the old ones. This went pair shaped (I
ended up with three personal folders files in Outlook even though they were
successfully deleted from the c drive) so I uninstalled the whole Office
programme and reinstalled. This didn't make an iota of difference.

Now, however, when I try to open Outlook the windows installer starts and
tells me 'The feature you are trying to use is on a network rescource that is
unavailable'.

It's looking for the installation package 511735.MAINSP1op but it's not in
the Office update file on the c drive and I can't locate it on the original
cd.

If you could help with my current crisis I would be eternally grateful!

"This didn't make an iota of difference."
I could have told you that in advance; reinstalling doesn't fix any
configuration issues.

"Since I posted this question I tried to create new personal folders files

Never delete your pst-files while they have still an active connection to
Outlook.

Your issue could have been easily resolved by recreating your mail profile;
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm

Now however you must fix your installation issue first. Is this the only
Office package you are running? Uninstall it completely and uninstall it
again. Then before doing anything else run Office Update to install Service
Pack 2 and then continue to return to Office Updates untill no updates are
offered anymore (could be up to 2 or 3 times). Ones completely up-to-date
recreate your mail profile.

If it asks you to activate Office first do this from within Word and not
Outlook since you shouldn't start Outlook with your corrupted mail profile.
