Operating tempature

I was just wondering what is a temperature that is too hot to be running a computer my computer runs games at about 38-40 degrees I was just wondering if that is too hot I added 2 extra fans it was running at 42-44 degrees

Depends on the motherboard and cpu. My Athlon processor runs ~55°C as an
example.
