Hi Dan,
You may while you got tired and going for a Siesta left a Floppy/CD/DVD in
the Drive and when your rebooted you got this message.
So check for left CD/DVD/Floppies in the computer.
If there is nothing then try to Boot into Safe Mode and Look in the event
viewer for any Error Messages.
HTH.

So you can't log in Safe Mode too?, you may have a Bad Video Card or The HDD
drive gone for good.
To determine if the Video card is gone try to Hook your HDD drive to another
machine and try to boot up if it was a success then your Video card or
Monitor gone bad.
This can happen from an overheated System or power outage.
HTH.

Hi Dan,
Yes HDD is Hard Disk Drive, if you don't have the knowledge I recommend you
take your Computer to a Local Professional tech to sort it out for you and
save yourself the Shock and further damaging your System, a $30 bucks will
not hurt, instead of the frustration and waste of your time.
