Openning access ade multiple times.

Why can I open an access mde multiple times. But when it comes to an access
ade, it cannot be open multiple times. Whenever I try to open the access
ade the second time, there would be an error message that says "The file is
locked for editing by another user".
Is there any way to switch off this lockfile and open the ade multiple
times????

Why are you trying to open the file multiple times?

btw - Please post to one group only. Redundany is not a good thing and
makes it harder to respond. I had to edit the Newsgroup string before
sending.

i was about to ask the sam question...
i will be running the same ade project on terminal server

I haven't really liked to use Access/MDE/MDB/ADP/ADE over terminal services.
You can still open the file multiple times - you just can't edit the file.
That doesn't mean that the file is not useable, because the users are not
modifying the file - they are using it to access the database and
update/append/delete/select the database - not the ade file.
