Well, Chris and Neil started things off back in 2003, early in the year...

OpenNETCF coalesced in March of 2003, with the SDF 1.0 release on our first
anniversary in late March of 2004. We'd released lots of software in that
interim period, but the SDF as it is known now was born in late March of
2004.

And yes, why?
