OpenNETCF.Desktop.Communication.dll

No, as it's definitely valid. You're referencing it from a Desktop app, not
a device app, right?

Yes! It is desktop application, I double check.

Even the VB sample from OpenNETCF has similar problem. The referrence to
OpenNETCF.Desktop.Communication.dll has a explination sign on it and when I
tried to re-add the referrence I got similar error.

Do I miss something here? I installed SDF 1.4 and it did not help either!

Any ideas?

Well the sample obviously won't run if you don't have the DLL.

SDF has nothing to do with it - you need the
OpenNETCF.Desktop.Communications binary or source.
