Are there any plans to support something like Intel's 9.0 compiler OpenMP
comments in VB.NET?

Thanks,
Lance

Hi

I did not hear that so far, so I am not sure if that will be supported.
But based on my experience, OpenMP is target at high performance, and
VB.NET is target at RAD develop.

VB.NET is target at RAD develop.Peter,

If that is true, than Microsoft can in my opinon withdraw their Office
Ms-Access product. Which now more and more fulfil completly this need.

In my opinion can VBNet very good be used as a RAD tool, however not only a
RAD tool, that is for me exactly the same with C#.

By the way, I agree the meaning of your answer, however would call it more
something as "General" development.

I will be glad to hear your opinion.

Hi

Yes in 2003 version, vb.net seems to be similar with C#, but in the Whidbey
version you will find it begin to diverge from C#.
e.g. the My Object is VB.NET's own feature.

Also Access is more target at database related develop, but VB.NET will do
more things than it based on the .NET technique.
