Opening Word 97 document in Word 2003

Has anyone had any problems opening a Word 97 document in Word 2003? I
have a few users who say they are experiencing problems doing this.
I'd love to be more specific on the error message they say they are
getting, but no one has recorded that. Just thought I'd put a feeler
out for now. Thanks!
 
Hello-

In general there should not be a problem as both versions (and all in
between) use th same file format. There are a number of variables that can
present problems, but it would be pure speculation & a waste of your time to
go into a litany of detail without more specifics. It could be something as
simple as differing printer drivers or more complex involving font issues,
etc.
