I have a Powerpoint presentation that was created in PP2000 in Germany that
will not open in PP2003. Is there a conversion utility or some other magic
that I need to do. It simply does not accept the file.

Make sure you've installed service pack 1 for Office 2003. You can find it
by opening PPT and going to Help/Check for Updates.

If that doesn't resolve the problem, post back to this thread and give us
the exact text of the error message you're receiving.

I have been having a similar problem.
Actually, my files open in PPT 2003, but all or some slides appear to be
blank, the background is kept, but all the content does not appear, just 2
text boxes "click to add title" and "click to add tex" appear.
I have asked the person to save it and send it back to me, in my computer,
both in PPT 2000 and 2003, the file is OK, with all the content.

Oh! and the gray scale seems strange as well, as it does not correspond to
the one in PPT 2000.

Any suggestions?

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the Critical
Update or Service Pack 1 for Office 2003 as soon as possible. From
PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for Updates".]
