Opening Powerpoint 95 files in Powerpoint 2003

I have some files that were created in Powerpoint 95 and can't get Powerpoint
2003 to open them. I thought the newer versions would accept older files???
What can I do?

Try updating PowerPoint 2003 to the latest service pack, which is SP2.
To do so, click Help > Check for updates.
After updating, see if it works this time round.
