How do I designate which program opens pictures? They
automatically go to Microsoft Publisher which won't open
most of them. I want them to go to either Picture Viewer
or Quicktime without have to right click, and select 'open
with' option.

Thanks in advance.

You don't. This is all controlled by the computer of the person who
received the email. Whatever program is "associated" with the file
extension you name the file will be the program which is loaded, to then
the attachment. Read in Help about "file association" to learn more.

To force viewing an attachment in Quicktime or Picture Viewer, name
these files with the file extentions standard with these apps. You can
see what they are for your computer by viewing the configured file
extensions.

At the same time, unless the receiver also has these file associations
programmed this way, you can't control this. It's up to the receiver.

Do the right click, open with and choose program scenario, pick the program
you want and check the box that states something like "always open files of
this type with this program"
