Opening photos with ....

I had 2 versions of MS PictureIt! on my desktop; V6 which came with
the computer, and V7 that was loaded later. I removed V6, not needing
2 versions. Now when I try to open photos from MS Explorer they don't
open, or open with MS Viewer. If I set properties on individual
photos to open with PictureIt! V7 they still don't open unless I open
that application first and open the photo from within the application
itself.

How can I set PictureIt! V7 to be the default opener for JPEG files
from MS Explorer??

Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Ann

To email: replace 'REMOVE' with 'b' in email address.

Remove and reinstall the v7 product or go into the preferences of the PictureIt! V7 program
to set the default file types the graphic editor will open.

Thanks, Dave. I went into preferences from Explorer, the shortcut,
and the actual .exe file but there is no setting for default file
types. Any additional instructions that I'm missing?

Its the preferences from WITHIN the PictureIt! V7 program or in the OS change the
association of JPEGS (JPG and/or JPEG) to the PictureIt! V7 application.

If you Remove and reinstall the PictureIt! V7 application, it should set JPEG to be opened
by this application. Your mistake was NOT removing the older version before installing the
newer version. This caused a break in the linkage of the file association to the PictureIt!
V7 application.
