Opening older sheets

When trying to open older Excel spreadsheets I get the following message:

"You are trying to open a flie type that is blocked by your registry policy
settings."

I didn't know I had registry policy settings. The files I'm trying to open
were created in Excel, the only difference is that they were created well
before Vista and I now have a Vista OS.

Can my spreadsheets be saved?

No offense intended but it's possible you didn't to the registry entry
exactly right.

In particular get his Password.reg file and merge it into your registry.
