Why does it take so long to open websites, or windows live mail. I find that
I'm really just waiting for some ad to load at the top of the page that I
don't really care for. I tried blocking some ad sites, that helps a little
but not enough, still having the problem.

I am running windows vista home premium upgrade version
AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core
3800 + processor
1 GB of Ram
256 Nvidia PCI Express Video card

I see waiting for http://view.atdmt.com/????????? mainly while waiting for
my hotmail email and other websites. I have blocked atdmt.com. That still
doesn't help. Is there another way that I can block the ads so I wouldn't
even see them?

I also thought it may be the flash player I'm having problems with so I
uninstalled it and reinstalled the stand alone version. I cleaned my temp
files, cookies and more. I have lavasoft adware remover installed. Checked
for spyware, and more, all is fine.

Thankyou for all that reply!

Dear Robyn

If you want's software that will block the adverts, I would suggest that you
install a full internet security suite, beware of Norton, however we use
Mcafee with no adverse effects.

I do have a full internet security suite, but their personal firewall I have
choosen not to install it, as I rather use windows vista firewall instead.
Perhaps that may help in not allowing these site, I'm not sure? Just it's a
pain, as it asks permission to object to what's downloading more than vista
does, LOL! It's CA Internet Security Suite.

Thanks,

Dear Robyn
Certainly within Norton and McAfee you can block adverts and images,
unfortunately we have not used CA so I cannot describe the settings to use,
have you looked at the user manual regarding pop-ups, adverts and images,
this will help if you can find the info. Alternatively email CA and ask if
they can assist.

Vista Firewall is OK, but we prefer to install a complete suite, purely a
personal opinion. IE has pop-up blocker but we have found that it is not
that effective with images.

Hope this helps a little.

Regards
Stuart
