opening new ie windows maximised

When I click on some links that open a new IE window, I want the
window opened maximised. How do I do this?

Drag the wwindows to full size and close with ctrl+close(X).
 
You may need to change settings. First make sure you menu bar is showing by
right clicking in the Tool bar area.

Click Tools/Internet Options and the General Tab, then in Tabs chose how
you want windows to open.
