Opening mail message links in a new IE window

I recently noticed that clicking on hyperlinks in an Outlook mail message
takes over last Internet Explorer browser window to display linked web page.
(Rather rude behavior if you ask me.)

Anyway, thought Outlook previously had configuration option that let you
select opening links in a new browser window. Why was this feature removed?

Any tips on whether this option can still be set? Is really annoying, for
example, if I'm listing to music in an streaming audio feed and Outlook
rudely takes over the window. To prevent this, I have to open a new browser
window first, then go back to Outlook to click link in message.

Thanks.

Rick

Thanks,

Rick

you SHOULD be able to right click on the link and select "open in new
window"...as far as an automatic setting, I'm not sure...maybe someone else
can help you out.

It wasn't removed. It's in Internet Explorer, not Outlook. In IE, click
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and uncheck "Reuse windows for launching
shortcuts"

Thanks, my mistake. Guess I had set it before (although forgot where it was)
but did some work on updating user profiles which must have reset it.
