Opening from web page to Edit view in Powerpoint

I post Powerpoint presentations on a web site. Normally I want them to open
as slide shows. Now I want one to open in edit mode in Powerpoint. (I know my
customers have Powerpoint 2002 - just like me.) This is so they can easily
print the presentation without having to save it to thier hard drive. But no
matter how I save the file, it still opens on the web as a slide show. Any
suggestions?

PS. I use Frontpage to build the web page and post the PPT file.

Control how the browser opens PowerPoint files

The short version is that you may or may not be able to force the issue from
your side of the internet. It's more up to them and their browser settings.

For what it's worth, they're ALWAYS saving the presentation to their hard drive,
even if it's not apparent to them. With a few exceptions, nothing really plays
directly from the web. It gets downloaded to a temporary directory then played
from there.

You might instead suggest that they rightclick and choose Save Target As (or the
equivalent command for their web browser) to download the file to a folder of
THEIR choosing rather than the Temp. They could then open and print the file as
they wish.
