Opening Desktop folders

When I double click my folders they go to search. I want the double click
to open the folder. I am using XP home.
I checked my mouse settings and the double click is set to open.

Could also try at a Run prompt:
REGSVR32 /i SHELL32.DLL

Or download a fix from MVP Doug Knox:

The downloaded .VBS file can be opened in Notepad so that you can see what
changes it will make to your system. To apply the changes, double click the
*.VBS file.
