Opening Browser

I have the MSN.com set as my home page and when I open up my browser it opens
to my homepage but it downloads everything except one item. At the bottom it
tells me what is remainign to be downloaded and it always states that there
is one more item remaining to download. It does not effect the webpage as far
as I can tell. I can see the page, etc. but it continuously states there is
one more item to be downloaded. What would cause this and how do I solve
this? Thanks.

Do you have ads blocked with your hosts file? Some other security
application blocking them or maybe "web bugs" being blocked?

Thanks for your response. I am not quite sure what you mean. I could have
those things going on but how do I know? Can you tell me? Should I not have
those things going on? Can I tell the computer to allow those things on this
particular website? Thanks for your help.

As long as the page is loading well enough for you I'd not worry about it.
It's usually seen when you have security software (and yes you should have
some running and configured to your needs) blocking either scripting,
cookies, or web bugs. It's also seen at times with the hosts file though
normally that should actually be resolving to 127.0.0.1 (if used to block
sites) instead and should be pretty quick unless, of course, your firewall
is set to block traffic on localhost. To make it really simple and to not
worry you or confuse you it's easier to say that if it's not broken and
you're seeing all of the content on the site that you're expecting then I'd
not worry about it. If you're missing something specific it would be easier
to find out what's not loading and then debug from there.
