Opening BCM

G

Greg G.

I recently re-installed Office 2003 with BCM. I have downloaded the BCM
update and service pack 1 from Microsoft. Every time I open the program, I
receive an error message: The add-in "C:\Windows\system32\ActExt.dll" could
not be installed or loaded." I have run "Detect and Repair" too many times to
count and it will not resolve itself. Any clues?

I am having the same problem. The entire program closes after launch so I
cannot use my Outlook. This is absolutely essential for me - so I have not
been abale to do any work for the past 3 days. i need urgent help to resolve
this issue - Have to use the program or starve.

I suspect ActExt.dll is a file from ACT!. Try uninstalling ACT! or
contacting their support.

Yes, that's right Luther -- it's an ACT file.

Greg: go into Tools, Trust Center, AddIns. At the bottom of that dialog,
click Go next to COM Addins, then uncheck ACT!.

In Outlook, click File, Exit, then restart Outlook and it should be fixed.
If not, try rebooting to clear out the memory.

HTH,
Lon
