Opening Another DB

K

Ken

I am using Access 2002 with XP Pro.

A few weeks ago I asked how to open another db and go the
following response:
Apllication.FollowHyperlink "path"
Application.Quit
i have six different db's on the machine and the users
need to go back and forth between these depending on what
they want to do. Each db is fairly large and cannot be
combined. The above code works great as long as one is
working on one computer containing the db's.

There are four users on different computers using this
these dbs via LAN. The first db opens and works great,
but when they click a button to open another db an error
msg "Can not ope this file" comes up. If you set at the
main computer, again, it works perfectly. I have changed
the path on the remote sites from the original path
to "computername\e\path" and this did not help.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ken

The Application.FollowHyperlink... method should work
fine for this. Are you sure that the databases are in
Shared mode and all users have permission to access the
folder where the files sit?
