Opening and saving documents takes forever..

When I want to "open" or "save as", Word stops to respond for 30-40 sec.
Saving an open document in the same place works ok, but if I want to "save
as" into another folder the problem occures.
How come?? Do you have a solution??
(Have tried closing antivirus and firewall)
