Opening an MDE file

Hi All,
I received a copy of the access database as an MDE file.
The original file was created in Access 97 and when I try
to open this file in Access2002 it is giving me the
following error:
"You can't convert or enable an MDE file".

Could someone help me to resolve this.

There is no resolution. MDEs can only be opened in there native version of Access.
(XP might be able to open 2K)

You either need the person who sent you the file to make a conversion at his end of
the MDB and then make a 2002 MDE to send to you or they need to send you the MDB so
you can convert it at your end.
