Opening an attached email message

I am able to open all sorts of attachments in Outlook -- Excel, Word, .pdf,
etc. However, I cannot open an email message that has been sent as an
attachment. The only alternative I've found is to go to Webmail and view it
there. This is a real hassle. Any suggestions?
