Opening an access2000 zipped file with access97

Is this even possible? If so, how?

I know that upgrading to access2000 would be the most
simple solution but I don't have the disk or a cd-rom
drive on my laptop.

Access 97 cannot open Access 2000 mdb files.

It is possible to get at the data in the tables (using ADO), but that's it.
