Opening Access Problem

Hi,

I have access 97 installed on my machine which is running
windows xp. I used to have office xp installed but
needed office 97 so i could open a couple of old
databases and i don't want to convert them to xp...

.... when i try to open access is displays an error
message saying "Microsoft Access can't start because
there is no license for it on this machine."

I've heard of this problem occuring before when trying to
go backwards with office but i don't know how to get
round it... any help would be appreciated.

This is a common - and fixable - bug caused by a misbehaving font. The
