Opening a form...

Is there a way that when I enter my database, the opening form shows
but the actual database runs minimised while my slpash screen (openin
form) displays ?

Yes. Tools, Startup. Uncheck the Display Database Window and select the
form in the Display Form/Page drop down. You can bring the database window
into view for development by pressing F11 or holding the shift key down when
opening the database from within Access. The latter also suppresses the
opening form and any other startup options you have chosen.
