Opened note fills the screen-how reduce so lots visible at once?

Outlook 2003 has notes feature and would like to use it instead of having
lots of yellow stickers on my desk! Showed my colleague how to use it today
and for her it shows the notes on the program she's working on as 'stickers'
which can be closed when she's actioned them. For me though, when I put the
note on it's shows as the icon which is great but, when I open it up with a
double click, it opens it up as a full screen with no opportunity to minimise
it, only to close it.

How can I get this to work in the same way as my colleagues?

You maximized it. Double click the blue bar at the top of the note to
restore to Normal view.
