Hi all,

I have a table that shows by reporting week, the inventory on hand by
location, as well as the forecast totals for 52 seperate weeks. What I
need to do is figure out what the days of supply on hand are based on
the current inventory level and consumption (forecast). In other
words, I need to know at what point in those 52 weeks we will run out
of stock. For example, if I have 1000 units on hand and I have a
forecast in week one of 500 and a forecast in week two of 500, that
would mean I have 14 days of supply on hand at the time the report was
run.

We currently have an Excel module to run this but we haven't been able
to figure out how to get that converted to an Access module in order
to apply it to different reporting levels (item class, location, part
type, etc.).

Any guidance would be appreciated!

What's the structure of the table? 52 records (good) or 52 fields (bad)?

What I

A Totals query summing the values seems appropriate, but without knowing more
about the structure of the table it's hard to say.

And since we know far less about these issues than you do, I don't see how we
can help.
