Open Slow on Words

Hello,

I have some single page documents take 2-3 min to open. I found out on the
bottom of the word page - it's showing "contacting \\server\xx...". Looks
like to it is trying to contact that non-existance server. And that server
had been retired. There is no hyperlink or UNC path on document - I looked
from top to bottom of that page. I setup a computer using retired server name
that document is trying to contact, document opened in 2 seconds. Is there
away or fix to make those documents not to contact the server which is not
existed any more?

The documents are almost certainly looking for the attached template on the
old server. If you re-attach the template (tools > templates and add-ins -
or in Word 2007 Developer Tab > Document Template) once the document is
opened, it should open normally next time.
