Open port 443

I need to transfer information with a website that requires that port 443 be
opened. How do I do that?

It depends what firewall you're using but most should be more or less the same.
check in your firewall settings and there will be a option called 'services'
or 'service ports' or something like that somewhere.
just go in there and put in the port number that you want to open.
just be sure to close it again once you're done to avoid a security risk.
